Oh, speaking of DT, where do you guys and gals park? I was trying to park for 6-9, but the damn meters eats money like there's no tomorrow and it's in effect til 10.

If I can't park at a friends place of work & I can't snag one of the few unmetered spots (yes, they do exist), I just pay.

That said, if I have to be downtown during the day I just suck it up and pay at what ever parking lot is closest.

Where are you trying to be Solo?

 

I think pacific center has a cheap parking at night...$4 all night, forgot when it starts tho. Check their website, I know it's in there.

I'll have to find out about pacific centre, but most parking places are gonna be starting their evening charge from 6... but I'll have to park from about at least 5:30

BUT!: the new convention centre has more reasonable all day parking (as in a good amount less than $20/day)

This evening I got a speeding ticket. But here's the kicker: it was by radar just before 10pm. So it's completely dark and these 4 guys with flashlights walk out into the middle of the road in front of my car ... that's NUTS I tell you!

As I'm sitting there I'm thinking *damn, who ever came up with this idea (of radar at night and stepping out in front of 'speeding' cars w. only a flashlight) has got to be among the crazier people out there*

Anyhow, ticket for me ... damn it.

 

oh sucks lol...was this at Great Northern Way by any chance? because the same thing happened to me except during the day...the funny thing is the car behind and in front of me were doing the same speeds, if not faster. Sigh...the things we put up driving modified cars

 

No, this was on the Barnet Hwy. (name says 'highway' and yet, apparently not highway speed limits there)

I'm not modified! (yet) ... but I have to say, the po-po don't seem terribly interested in just letting the M3 slide by, even if I'm not getting a ticket, I still seem to get pulled over to have a little talk.

 

that sucks for both of you. i saw a bunch of popo cars blocking off a few streets with tape up near edmonds and kingsway. something went down.
