So I happened upon an 07 is250 with 108k miles, for a rack. So the car has peeling paint on the bonnet and the front fenders, blown suspension, melted door panels and looks like maybe some water damage to the interior cause the carpet on the floor looks washed out, the car sat for 4 years, drivers seat is torn but all other seats are mint and the ac blows cold radio works speakers all work and I can’t seem to find anything wrong electronically atm with the exception of the driver door controls don’t control all the windows but each door can roll its own window up or down. Considering the price I got the car Id say not a terrible buy and I’m willing to put money into it as a blank canvas right now. So far I bought used tien coilovers and installed in the front(automatically drops car 2-3inches currently no gap in front) and not the back yet. Honestly took way longer than expected to install due to ceased up bolts that wouldn’t turn so I got to cutting and replacing. Cut the upper control arm out on the passenger side and bought a new one only cost $76 for whole assembly. Where the bottom of the strut bolts to into the bracket, had to cut both those bolts as they would not budge at all, 15$ each. The car also came with some China rims and all rims had a set of 5 locks...I usually only put 1 per wheel this guy had 20 on the car, so I bought some new lugs and locks. My next thing is to put in the rear suspension and dye the carpet.
Not really a good pic cause the wheel turned but there is barely any gap
Also hearing some rattling sounds like tensioner needs to be replaced, found a timing chain complete kit for 150$ gonna jump on that. And these are the exterior parts I plan to go with on build. Anyone seen or had experiences with these parts?

Please please please, do your due diligence & inform yourself on the carbon build up issues that come with the 06 - 08 IS250 Direct Injection Engine's. https://www.my.is/threads/is250-carb...up-fix.451746/
I would focus on getting the car completely mechanically sound before considering all your mods especially since she has been sitting for 4 years.
Oil Catch Can, Transmission Service, Intake Valve Cleaning, Fluids Flushed (Brake Fluid, Power Steering, Coolant, Etc) are some of the things I would recommend.
Here are some links for your convenience.

Thanks dude was thinking this forum was kind of dead so I stop with the updates but yea I did a fluid flush first thing. I have afs light on abs got damaged during coilover install so that light came on, I’m also getting a weird winding noise so ima order a serpentine belt and timing chain kit for the heck of it. The dash also says something about checking vvc or something but mechanically it’s been sound so I haven’t worried too much about that part. I don’t drive it much not till I get it right sounding good as it looks, no clue about the direct injection issues. I honestly didn’t even realize it was direct inject.
Awesome, definitely work on getting that ol gurl purrring correctly. Would hate the car to look sick just for it to break down on side of the road ya know.
Plenty of VSC Threads on here, so i wont link any as I would have to know more to try and find a specific thread pertaining to your issue.
Also dealing with an AFS off light. Think it was damaged after I drove into a deep puddle
Definitely use that search bar above in right corner to search forum for threads related to your issue, it may be a lot of reading but definitely worth it.
You could also just post a new thread but the "experienced" forum members would definitely appreciate you doing your due diligence before posting a "HELP" post lol
About the driver window controls not working: try running the other 3 windows fully down then fully up with the switches on their respective doors, then try the driver door switch. Everytime the car loses battery power, you gotta do this to reset the auto-up/auto-down feature.
