Cool @PROJECTGS400's BUILD.

Hey guys,
So, its been 2 years since i had bought my 1998 Silver GS400 and man what a journey it has been.

So in late 2019, me and my friend decided to buy ourselves our first car and I bought myself a 1998 Lexus GS400 with black interior.

It came with angel eyes (ring lights) and a clean interior.

Added carbon fiber sticker to interior panels for extra HP

It had some issues such as a blown transmission, major oil leak and overheating at high speeds, which all were fixed after a couple of months.

Yes, it had a blacked out 430 badge.

The first ever mod I did to the car was to install a used MagnaFlow AxleBack exhaust, which would eventually make my car not drivable in my state due to modification regulations.

Was a used, dirty exhaust but got a good deal on it so.....

I was tired with the car handling like a boat, so I decided to install coilovers and got myself some Tein Flex's.
This would also get me into trouble in the state where I live due to modification restrictions and eventually had to swap them over for some air suspensions.
I was not personally happy with the air ride, but hey, atleast i get to keep my car with myself than the impound lot.

Couple months later, I learnt from this forum that I could install the LS400 brakes on the GS and installed it right away.

Got this set from the scrapyard for cheap and it also came with Megan Racing bracket that was essential for the swap

Now since I felt like I did enough upgrades to the car the same age as me, it was time to make it look younger and fresh.
I wanted to add a bodykit and give it a fresh coat of paint.

I wanted this color scheme for the GS. Satin white, dual tone with purple highlights and gloss black trim.

Aaaaand, this is how it turned out....

Pretty happy with how it turned out. What do you guys think ?

The body kit included a front lip, side skirts, tiny 3 piece spoiler, and some kind of a diffuser moulding.

Last week I installed a HKS RS Mushroom cold air intake and now the induction sound is craaazy!
I will upload a video if I can figure out how to.
Also installed a front TRD sway bar and it almost cover up almost all the loss of handling from removing the coilovers.
More details of my build are available on my instagram page @projectgs400 (shameless plug).

FUTURE PLANS ?
I want to build it into a drift car.
I am planning to switch back to my Teins and installing hydro ebrake and bucket seats.
Supercharging ? Turbo ? Forged rods ?
I just started modifying and building the car and its my first time so any input or suggestions will be awesome.

This is my first ever thread, and English is not my native language so please forgive me for any errors or mistakes.
I will be updating the thread for any further additions, mods or upgrades.

Take care, stay safe !

Looks pretty good? Is it a 400 or 430? I would debage the truck it looks cleaner that way. Are those parking sensors on the front bumper on the end?

So since my last post I have done a couple of tweaks.

I got myself some ENKEI EKM3 Wheels 18x8s in gunmetal.

I also switched back to the Teins and it handles much better and works well with the TRD sway bar.

Good looking car man !
Does the paint job require any special maintenance or treat it with regular polish and wax ?

Thanks a lot !!
No, the paint does not require any further maintenance, but the only restriction is not to polish or wax the paint.
