You could probably do a boost controller to have adjustable power max😅
Nice job.
The world prayed for Australia last night my time.
I took in the MCM BeetleBaru episode earlier. I wish I lived in Australia as you get the good Jdm stuff and the Yankee V8s too. So thats why those fires bother me do much.

looks like a nice stance with the rim tyre setup.

Cheers Mate👍

Going pretty well, it's been used as a work commuter up until a week ago when I went on a "cruise". It was a cruise through a very twisty mountain road, however, due to some poor communication they had left early without us . Thankfully I was with someone so we went on their route without them, I was chasing this;

an FPV GT, we didn't go too hard because the last thing we want is sending one of our cars off the side of the mountain. I was able to sus out a few issues with the car on the drive though. The Tanabe coilovers seem to be worn as the ride is too soft around corners, this is evident from what seems to be a bit of oil leaked out on the strut and it has no damper control. The engine was slightly pre-igniting when it got hot after giving it some ****, hopefully this is just a case of cleaning out the head to get rid of any carbon. And the brakes are pretty well worn with them now being warped and squealing.
Another issue that arose before the cruise was the door locks randomly cycling when hitting bumps or taking corners, I JUST CAN'T GET AWAY FROM DOOR LOCK ISSUES Something must be loose somewhere so it can be fixed once we try and get the audio sorted out. Headlights were also polished before the cruise but no coating was put on it so we'll see how long it lasts.

Car is looking good. I don't know that I'd ever have the ***** to take a GS on a twisty run lol. What do you have for suspension and tires? Other than the blown coilovers? I'd want some pretty sticky tires, and stiff sway bars before doing that. And of course confidence in the coilovers. Get them changed out quick! I'd hate to see something happen to that sweet ride you put all that work into!

Other than a direct GTE swap, what has been done for modifications and tuning? I see the intake and I'm guessing catless exhaust? Still using the oem side mount intercooler? Just wondering if you've done other mods and any kind of boost increase so I can help you in which direction to go for the pinging etc. Do you have a scanner and access to the data stream on it? You need to make sure you aren't leaning out. Could damage the engine.

Tyres are a set of Kumho Ecsta 4X II's, they're no semi-slick but are meant to be a performance tyre. Suspension is all stock, I wouldn't dare push the car until brakes and suspension are upgraded. The struts aren't completely flogged out, they're only a little soft due to wear.
Exhaust is a 3" downpipe with a high-flow cat into a Tom's cat-back, intercooler is stock and it has a Tom's ECU. It's possible that the injectors are clogged, the car is getting a general service done soon to keep the fluids fresh, going to clean the head out with some upper engine cleaner and run the injectors through a clean.

It's good to do the regular maintenance, but I really think you should get a scanner that can access the live data on the car. You need to see data for all the various sensors and fuel trims. the maf can be tested by readings at idle, 2000rpm, and WOT. The throttle checked for a good clean voltage sweep up and down and correlation to the APP sensor. O2 sensors looked at for proper operation in wave form. Fuel trims are very important for monitoring the overall state of things. You'll know if its too much or too little fuel in the combustion. Then target vacuum leaks, a faulty sensor, or a leaky injector, etc.
