Had to redo the front calipers because the paint was flaking off pretty badly after 4 years. Not going to do stickers this time. While the wheels were off I took some time to clean the insides of the wheels and make them look sharp. Thankfully the pads I'm running don't produce a lot of dust...




Hopefully the paint holds up longer this time. Centric has powdercoated calipers for our cars but they must do them in limited numbers because they are difficult to find. I know Powerstop has them also but I don't trust their quality after reading reviews.
Also the Centric Premium Rotors... the black hat area hasn't help up well. It's really not visible with the wheel on but it was a lot darker when new.

And I use a foam brush. Usually do a few coats and it cures pretty quick. I don't know if it is all the edges and lips on the calipers that didn't get sealed right the first time or what... hopefully this round holds up a bit better.

I hit a raccoon at about 60mph last week. I felt bad because I love animals and because there was some damage to the car. I removed the bumper, got the fog back in place, and remounted it so it looks better. I was going to get it fixed, but I may just leave it now. I will order one more JDM fog light though. Oh, while the bumper was off, I swapped out the yellow LED bulbs for regular Hella bulbs to see how they were with the yellow capsule in the JDM fogs. Ugh, awful color. Went straight back to the yellow LED bulbs.

Still waiting on the caps. Think they had to come from BBS in Japan, so hopefully they will be here in the next few weeks.

Went ahead and made an appointment to get the car re-tinted. The current tint measured out at 35% which is a bit light for Texas. Going with 25% in the front which is the legal limit and then 5% on the rear windows. I'd do 5% all around but it is a real hassle to get it inspected by a shop that won't fail you. Even though it's a once a year occurrence, meh. Excited to get the car done though.

Still thinking about spacers to push the wheels out just a touch and will be thinking about front struts, ball joints, and sway bar links this summer. Also need to do drain and fill x3 pretty soon.

Car is back from tint and looks amazing. Needs a few days for a few bubbles to work themselves out and once I get it washed, I'll grab a picture.

Got my red BBS caps from Japan today. Of course they show up right before I need to leave for work so I didn't have time to install them (wheel has to come off to pop 'em out).

Car is pretty dirty and it is going to rain on Saturday so I didn't see the point in washing it. Still, the red caps look great on these wheels... really happy with the turnout. Loving the tint too... can't wait to see how the ceramic does in the summertime.

Those BBS caps are very fitting with the look of the wheels and how they work with the entire car. Have you ever thought about a small spacer in the rear to reduce the fender gap? I think I ran a 10 or 15mm in the rear at one point with the OEM 17" wheels and it looked quite a bit better.

love the center caps! they really suit the car / wheel combo you've gone with!

+1 for spacers on the rear to fill out those arches a little more

Following. Agree re spacers and want to know a mild, hopefully not too expensive solution for all four with stock 17". I had heard 15mm front, 20mm rear. I'd love to hear opinions on 15mm all four and then who offers a pack of 4?
