Got the throttle body cleaned up and swap the MAF out so check engine light is off. Actually thoughtt about putting some decent wheels on it but its okay like it is. Plus I need this one to go so I can snag a black one I'm looking at!
Nice progress and find! I thought I was officially done with the second gen but then stumbled across a deal just as good. The car is in excellent shape and it turned out the car only needed a new throttle body which I also snagged for a deal and replaced myself. I keep contemplating reselling it but it's too hard considering how difficult it is to find these cars in decent shape now days.

i find myself in the same boat at times. When I completed the interior swap on this I stepped back and looked at it and thought I might keep it. I don't know why people give up on em so easy when its time for repairs. You can literally do the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, new rad, hoses, thermostat in around a 1hr - 1 1/2hr from tear down to build up. Which is typically whats needed anyway. I do however miss my days with the SC300....
For those of you who have possibly swapped in a JDM 2JZ VVT-i GE motor due to the cost you can get a fresh one for, keep in mind that the water pumps are different when its time to do your servicing. The US model has a 10 bolt setup where as the JDM version has a 11 bolt setup. They are similar looking and can have you scratching your head as to what to do. But its quite simple. All you need is the back side of the USDM water pump housing. Its held on by the same water neck at the top and the hard line on the back side of the housing.
Here is a shot of the differences..... The left one is the JDM unit and the right is the USDM unit

Got everything removed and re-installed a while ago. Test drove the car and its OFFICIALLY ready now! New Pump, housing, thermostat, timing belt, tension cylinder, tension pulley/bracket, red Gen 2 fluid. Its a easy job that will save you time, money and prolong the life of the 2JZ
Here are some timeline pics to completion...
