Hi everyone! Im new to the forums for lexus but def not new to lexus. I have a long list of previous cars but i came from an audi a4 6sp manual to the IS200t. Prior to that, i had come from the first generation IS300.
So currently i drive a 2017 IS200t Fsport with the facelift. So far i have ordered a few parts and some already installed.
Currently Purchased:
Injen Intake
DNA Motorsports Prototype Catback Exhaust
Mines Rep Carbon Fiber Diffuser
Kicker L7 Subwoofer
Kicker 800w 2 Channel Amp
Sound System Wire Kit
BC Racing Coilovers
ESR wheels
Recaro Pole Position Seats (Purchased for my Audi, Still new) Noticed 3IS dont have seat brackets for sale!
I looked up some DIY on installing the sound system here on the forums. Hardest part was running the wire through the firewall, other than that, very easy process!
The other day, I had contacted a fellow member to trade diffusers. Loved the out come!
I loved the finished look, took a bit of work putting it on but still pretty good fitment compared to other diffusers ive used in the past. Ill take better photos later.
So the other day, i had noticed DNA Motorsports out in Hacienda Heights was looking for an IS200t to test fit their exhaust. So i left my car to get it test fitted.
The exhaust looks great but the fitment was not up to par. For the previous years (14-16) this exhaust lined up pretty well to the stock diffuser. On my car, its pretty tucked back behind the diffuser. It currently rubs against some metal parts next to the exhaust as well some rubbing up by the down pipe. On the plus side, it sounds great, but not as loud as i wanted it to be, so def looking forward to installing some race cats or test pipes. For the time being, I'm just going to order some quad mufflers and make some adjustments at a local muffler shop. At the end of the day, cant argue with free.
Got word from the shop, apparently, the 2017 IS200t used a different mounting point from the front chassis. Apparently, after multiple calls with several different coilover companies, I got some info from Megan Racing that my front coilovers are compatible with the RC350. So right now, im waiting on the vendor i purchased the coils from to updated me on the swap of parts. Until then, lowering my car will be on hold.
