Default 2jzgte build/ wire tuck/ fuse box relocation

Started my build early this month and after reading all the posts on other peoples builds sounded like fun posting about it along the way. Also not to many people do wire tuck and fuse box relocations with the steps it took to do so! So i will do my best to help on that topic along the way. Here is a couple pics of what i habe done so far

When i started taking the engine out

Engine out

Picked up the motor about a week later

Toyota supra Radiator upgrade

Lil Single turbo kit i picked up

Hks timing belt upgrade

New belt, idler pully, tensioner, and water pump

Intake manifold mounted and waiting on new lower timing belt cover/ pulleys amd maybe a cam gear why not at this point haha

Will take some more pics tomorrow with pulleys on

Started stripping the engine bay to get it ready for paint. Im going with midnight purple pearl from the gtr also going to throw in some purple rainbow flake in the clear. paint code is LP2 for anyone wanting to know and this is what the color will look like

After getting most of the wires amd fuse boxes out

Quick wipe down before i pressure wash it

Will add some more pics of progress tomorrow!!!

Ahhh stuff happens, hopefully the emergency you speak of isn't too bad. I've been seeing everyone installing their turbo minus the compressor housing at first.. why is that?

we used to do it like that incase the housing hit the firewall, you could install turbo with motor and test fit the housing then bang out the firewall if needed

That doesn't make sense to me. Turbine housing maybe for banging out the firewall but if you don't have that on, it's not bolted to the manifold so..

Most of the time the compressor cover is left off it's to clock it. Personally, I've always left it on (compressors are fragile!) backed the bolts off and carefully clocked it around.

good luck OP, super keen to see this turn out.
