Default Operation bumper refresh.

I prefer the OEM bumper of our cars more so than any kit available, but the stock fog light could use a refreshing beyond simple wet sand. So I decided to replace them with one piece units. The start...

I took the OEM fogs out today and traced them and fitted some cardboard in the openings.

Then transferred the outline to some 1/8" lexan I had laying around.

I used my heat gun, which died only halfway into the first lens.. Luckily I remembered I had an infrared spacer heater in the closet. haha Close enough.

Overall not bad for a first attempt.

Only have the one done for now, but you can see all the styling options a one peice lens or filler panel opens up. The end units will most likely be dual round fogs mounted on a black ABS panel. Maybe throw some LEDs in there as long as it looks clean.

Amber leds for running lights/sidemarker. Remove oem sidemarker. Bondo, fill, paint.... Blah blah blah. That would clean up and modernize the bumper even further.

Small update in making the panels out of ABS plastic which is 10x easier to work with. I already have a design change in mind.

In the mean time, I started refinishing my wheels as the factory clear was coming off and the previous owner have played silver over the some of the original diamond cut.

No more corrosion or diamond cut. But they polish out well. Its an on going project still have to paint the windows..
