Default Dash Cam

My Rexing Dash Cam just came in! I chose this one because it's very low-pro using double side tape and 1 thin bracket without the bulk of a suction cup. Possibly mount it right under the rear view mirror mount.

Got a dash cam hard wire kit. I read a post I could tap it from the rear view mirror power maybe?

Gotta make sure I got enough space to record all the crazy drivers out there!

Default Powerstop Rotors

Opened the box for my Power Stop's for a quick peek before the installation tomorrow. Not fancy like you guys Futura level but this what I'm gonna rock for time being. HOPEFULLY my previous squeal issue is finally eliminated. Will post some in progress and after shots!

Thanks!

I'm blessed to have a mechanic buddy that helps me with most installs at home. Usually won't even accept any other payment besides beer and food lol

Nope for the dash cam it's gonna be my first rodeo on installation. Figured it will benefit not only for insurance protection but collecting interesting clips as well!

Default Brake rotors and pads installation

Fronts done!

3mm spacer for rear. Flushed it out nicely. I shoulda just got a 5mm because I sense 2 more mm room to play with -_-

15mm spacer for front. Flushed and no more room left to play.

Yay to the pockets on my wheels!

Beers for everyone!

I don't know if it's normal but the stock brembos were so pitted.

Powerstop Pads.

Gotta make sure it's lubed up properly.

Because spacers loosening up is not the business.

Rears done.

Most of the wheel covers the rotor. All good I just wanted mainly for the damn squeal to go away.

Issues:
  • Kyo-Ei lug nuts didn't leave much room to get the socket in to torque it so we swapped it for gorillas for now. We suspect perhaps the bolts were not pressed correctly?
  • Rubbing in front on hard turns and turns at an angle.

Notes:
  • Front & Rears are flush. Rears can go 2 more mm probably.
  • No more brake squeal. Proper bedding procedure was performed.
  • Taking it back to my fender guy to try to adjust the fronts to hopefully solve rubbing.
  • Before was rolling on controller at level 7 but now is at level 5 to reduce rub.

I will take pics of the fitment when I wash the car tomorrow. The brake dust from the Brembos were so bad I'm ashamed to even take a picture haha.

How's the dusting? I can't believe how dirty the Brembos get after a couple of days!

It's only been half a day of usage so can't tell yet. After I wash it tomorrow I'll know after a week. However, I did use these pads previously already prior to swapping the Brembo's back to take into the dealer so they don't blame it on my aftermarket pads. It did not dust before so on these new sets of Powerstops I assume the dust level would be quite minimal again.

I guess since I recently got the car I didn't really notice. But after the detail this weekend my wheels barely made it 2 days before I could swipe my finger and see the black come off! Way more dust than my LS430!

Yeah it's bad. I had brake dust racing stripes last week when I washed the car and had to go somewhere... the remaining liquids trapped near my brakes blew back and streaked all over the side of my car
