I was wondering when you plastic dip the chrome part of the grill. Did any of it go inside? I know there is a gap between them, was wondering if you just sprayed it and went over the gaps also?

Yes, I sprayed over the gap so it did go inside. This is a good thing since the end "joint" of the plastidip is not abrupt on the surface but fluted in an area where a wash mitt cannot grab onto it and pull at it.
I already washed my car twice and no issues. Of course, I would never powerwash up close any plasti-dipped surface or it's probably game over. So in essence, I had tape on the inside edge of the grill covering the tiny lip but the tape did not cover the 1mm gap between the lip and chrome surround. (See pic) If it did, you'd be ripping off the plastidip from the chrome surround as you're removing the tape on the inside since it makes one surface. Trick is to create "separate/unjoined" surafces. For the top, since the gap is even narrower, I was extra careful not to cover it and as a precaution before I ripped off the tape after painting, I used my exacto knife carefully "cutting" along that tiny gap.
Thanks. I'm tempted though I keep thinking about the darn snow up here and the need for ground clearance. Also, my car is a lease and I love changing cars every two years or so which makes the investment a little more difficult to swallow. Why do you think I make things as much as I can on my own?

You're very creative! What do you do for a living? You should start your own shop for sure! Or at least sell those lips to us, I'd buy one.
If I had more time, I might be doing this stuff on the side since it's my passion, but working for a multinational company constrains things a bit. Investing my time in a mold to replicate the spoilers is tempting though
