Gold gs on SSR GT3
1. I never have much time to work on the car.
2. When I do have time, I work pretty slow.
3. Lack of allocated project car cash makes me kind of unmotivated anyway.
I got the back half done pretty good. Next up is to remove the door handles and do the front half. I stupidly trimmed the kit around the door handles without realizing that had I taken them out, I probably wouldn't have had to trim it. Now I have to put filler in that area. I molded the entire thing with 3M panel bond. The plan is to mold the entire kit then primer it. Drive it for a few months like that to ensure cracks don't develop and then look into paint. I figure I might as well try to do it myself since I saw someone else get this exact kit molded by a shop, it looked awesome but cracked immediately after the guy got it back (he paid lots of $$$ too). The only other thing I want to do with the exterior is get a carbon fiber vented hood but.....
1. It rains all the time where I live.
2. I know it is absolutely throwing money away because I wouldn't get a dime more for the car with the new hood if I decide to sell the car (I'm a bit of a cheapskate).

Finally got the rear fenders molded. Now I'm extending the front bumper so it meets up with the Serialnine fenders. I'm tired of doing body work
At least the bumper is the last thing on the list to do.

You are the reason I got bit by the mod bug again! when I got my GS last year I hated the color, then I saw your GS and got all hot an bothered and saw my car for the potential it has. I like the work you have put into it and I will probably never be at this level but you are not allowed to repaint it any other color, you must keep repping gold till the day you die!! =). Have you ever thought of doing the sport design saddle interior swap?
The car has to be repainted due to all of the bodywork I've done. I've had it for 10 years now, the color is changing, just need something different. As for interior, saddle or black would be and upgrade, but it's not in my budget.
Test fit the rear wheel (4.5 lip with low disc face) in front with a with a 5mm spacer. I am going to run minimal camber after I rebuild the wheels so this is how it's going to fit when I run high disc faces and a 4 lip. 4.5 lip would look good with about 3 degrees of camber but I can't deal with poor tire wear anymore and have to be careful with fiberglass fenders.
