Gold gs on SSR GT3

Finally started on the rear fenders this weekend. Cut them with my dremel instead of the angle grinder. Took longer but I had more control and it was safer. Ended up going up about 4 inches. Hammered them together as close as I could get them and then had my dad help out with the welding. Need to try to lay down some epoxy primer and seam sealer tomorrow.

So after welding, I sealed the fenders with 3m seam sealer. Then started bonding the overfenders with 3m panel bond. Sand away paint where they mate and apply panel bond to both surfaces and hold in place with self tapping screws. The panel bond is cured now so the screws have been removed. Once my new bumper arrives, it will actually be drivable again.

Thanks
We do have similar taste but I don't think it will really look racey after I'm done (the diffuser is gone). Hopefully my rear bumper gets here Monday and I can get it back in one piece. Then the exterior parts will be done unless I buy the hood I want.......

Rear bumper is version select. It is finally supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I ordered it like 3 weeks ago. The sides aren't changing. I had RMM replicas and those hung a little lower than the front bumper. Then I found what I always wanted, skirts from the OEM optional lip kit. They are a little shorter than the bumper, but they are staying. My car is raked to the front right now also so that makes is look a little worse.

Finally got my rear bumper installed today. Only thing left to install is the lower caps for the bumper. Was thinking about getting a vented carbon fiber hood but those things are close to $1k now so I don't think that's going to happen. If anyone has a lead on one, let me know.
