no new updates to the whip just yet, but got in some goodies this past christmas compliments of my girl. got some plans for the grille too
sorry i lagged it on the beam pics. still havent found my digi cam so these iphone pics will suffice. whoever installed the projectors did a pretty bad job.
How was the arm install? I was about to get them but im second guessing after all the stories ive heard about snapping. How much - camber did you get out of them?
Hey man - nice ride. I got my 93 LS400 in October and have some plans for it. Not a bunch but enough to give it a nice look and drive better. I have been working on Jeeps for about 8 years so I have an ok understandin of suspension. Tell me about the Arms you ordered. i am assuming they are adjustable to adjust for the camber from your drop? At what point do adjustables need to be purchased? I'm thinking of going down about 1.5".
and got an alignment at firestone. will post up the results.
worker said my aftermarket coils and arm made it harder
to align?
haha not the first time a firestone tech said this to me. well that's b/c they are aftermarket parts. so when you change the toe, it throws off the rest of the readings. you have to go back and forth to adjust accordingly. if you want a real alignment go to 714 tires in westminster.
I wouldn't trust firestone to align my custom arms, i'd set camber elsewhere and use them for toe and go's.
Megan arms have a pretty reliable rep in the 240/supra/everywhere else world afaik. Don't know where you came up on those stories of them failing
the Studio Bold arms aren't made in-house, they're made by Battle Version
Quality stuff, but a big price difference.
OP: Are the megan arms poly bushing'd or do they use metal bearings? If they're poly I'll probably pick up a pair. Are you using them to add or remove negative camber?

true, mine was bought from studio but came in battle version packaging, stickers, etc. checked the price and it was the same (at the time). has it changed? btw these arms are solid metal bearings.

i only came across a story about an EVO tracking the megan arms and it failing. buh for everyday driving, i think i shouldnt have any problems. only time will tell forsure. i tinkered with the bolts and contemplated installing myself, but opted to have a shop install them for added piece of mind.

Good Luck with the rest of the build.
thanks for the compliments. with that amount of drop, i think you should be fine without.

yea my amistads came low disc and instead of patiently waiting for any hi disc wheels to pop up forsale, i opted to "downgrade" the brakes. i have the lifetime alignment from firestone, so im trying to make the most of it. i read in the socal section about a firestone manager that can adjust to your specifications. might hit him up when i get my wheels back on.
