Thumbs up My College Budget Build

I bought my 06 IS250 AWD at the beginning of this year. I had plans for it but it stayed stock for a while until i could find the funding to make it the way i wanted.

First i started off with some 8k HIDs
Then I added a JL Audio 12w3v3 in a custom made fiberglass box that i made that hooked up to the factory nav.

Then just recently i finally got the money to put in a set of coilovers and some rims.

I bought a set of BC Racing BR type coilovers.

and for rims i ended up getting a staggered set of linea corse 818 in hyper silver.

Thats all i have for now, i plan on rolling the fenders and adding some spacers all the way around, some tint, hopefully a new color on the rims powder coated, and some other little things.

and i do plan on lowering it and making it more wide once i get the fenders rolled.

here are some pics:

Looks great and not bad for a college budget. Most would of went with some cheaper wheels and springs or a cheaper brand of coils.

I definitely did my research on the coils and you do get what you pay for, i was originally looking at the ez coils from megan racing, but after reading some reviews and thinking about it, it was definitely worth it to spend the little extra cash to get a better product and better ride.

thats what i heard too. i don't plan on lowering much more, just a little in the front to even it out better. I'm just waiting on the money for the fender rolling. Any idea on what height they start to tear at?

Nice college build! I'm also on a college budget, its tough but so worth it In reference to the ride height, i hear that you should try to stay at 24.5 inches ground to fender or more to be safe. I'm at 25", but i may lower .5 of an inch this summer.

thanks for all the input guys, definitely a work in progress, and thanks sleekbrian for clearing that up for me, I'm sitting right at 25 now too, ill probably end up staying there or just a tiny bit lower. Still have to heat gun the fender liner a little in the front. I'm rubbing on the turns a little.

Nice car! Great start on a college budget. My college budget was way less awesome than yours

I would look at getting the rear spoiler and front GFX front lip from Sewell too. They come painted and are super affordable and add a great touch to your car.

what size tires do you have? and with Linea corse Lcc818 I wouldnt recommend spacers its already and agressive fitment that it will rub.

Great job on your modest build

Good selection of initial mods to say the least
