Default Hster build (ls1 drift car stage1)

Prologue : involved with drifting mostly. been moving around in between US, Korea for last 15 years. currently living in Seoul, Korea

Past cars :

this is in year 2003 when "flush" was not a word (to me at least) so please excuse my "unflushness"

2005

2008

2010

2010

I've had several more silvias but let's not get into that..

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been around clublexus for awhile but never really put up anything. However, I decided to do a build thread to help future engine swappers and to document something of me.

I read other posts but pictures/informations were limited

I'm doing all the work with my buddy that owns a shop here.

When I bought the car (May 2011)

followed by HSD shocks (f:16k, r:10K) and ce28 (will be replaced). For those of you that don't know HSD, they manufacture many Jap, US, EUR tuners shock (I.e. Driftworks, stance)

I think I'll be putting in ordens on this car since this will not be a hardcore drift only car, but daily with drift functions.

then.. the motor came out.

this will be going in with patience and alot of work.
let's please not argue whether 2j or ls1 is a better engine. The main reason I went with ls1 is because of it's torque at low end, plus cost of getting a 2jz here is not cheap as in US. However I did end up paying insane amount of money to bring this from the states.(shipping was not too bad but then tax killed it)

I did see DGR and Cleans14's post and I was very impressed by quality of their work. However, when I was searching for DGR's website it was dead.. So me and my buddy will be doing all of the work.

wow, thanks for all the support!

I do have couple more pics of lincoln,

as for the ce28 pics,

notice the yellow fog film. I'm not sure if I like that so much but will be keeping them on to see how it looks with the bodykit.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for the swap,

I wanted to delete the electronic brake booster.
Actually I don't think it's possible to use our stock ones with the swap because ABS/Trac computer gets signal from ECU and vice versa.

I bought a supra unit(master/booster) out of a NA (non ABS). NA supra(not sure if turbo supra was available w/out ABS) uses 3 output from master cylinder to calipers (2 fronts seperately and 1 rear). All ABS equipped cars have 2 outputs which are seperated to 4 lines at ABS unit.

here's firewall with MC/booster removed. I was trying to minimize bend of stock lines since I will be utilizing them but as you see in the pics, that didn't go so smooth.

here's stock vs. supra booster. it's difficult to see the length difference between the bolts because of the picture layout, but bolts are arranged in different manner. supra booster is spread apart little longer while gs is narrower. I'm not sure if this is because I bought NA supra booster (AT) or simply supras are all arranged like this.

I plan on drilling a bigger hole on the firewall and put those on along with RHD Altezza clutch, brake, gas pedal assembly with wilwood clutch mc sitting at my trunk.

it is such a short update but i thought this might be useful info for those planning to go supra booster setup for faulty gs unit.
