These provide much better spark with our weak wasted spark systems, normal plugs also wear out twice as fast with wasted spark.
These are a .4mm iridium center electrode and the ground electrode is all platinum, not a platinum chip.
Not interested in running 30psi either, there's almost no timing in the engine at that point, higher EGT's and it's hard on everything.... I'm already making 500whp at 13psi through my new auto trans.

Is there any back to back testing to prove that the plugs have any significant power advantage over the Denso non-racing series plugs? Or is it simply for the longer life plug? The GTE engine is pretty easy to do plugs on, about a 5 minute process. I could understand buying some $$$$ plugs on a engine thats super hard to do the plugs on though.

BKR8EIX's would do the job fine, but wear out prematurely. The .4mm iridium center also provides a much stronger spark with less current, another advantage since wasted spark sucks lol. There is a lot of testing behind them, better heat dissipation, anti-fouling characteristics, etc.

Its not a 5 minute process when you put everything in like it should be out of the factory. My engine covers go back on, all the wire clips, etc.
In reality, they're not necessary by any means. For most people the stock Aristo plug would work just fine. I just bought them because I could. They're the best plug you can buy for my application...so why not? Everything else on my car is top notch, so why would i skimp on anything?
