The spoiler arrived on Wednesday, and I installed it the same day. It was very straightforward and simple. Today, I pulled the IS F out and took some pictures. I'll take some more pictures during sunset tonight. Here are the preliminary shots, and I'm in love with the way this spoiler looks. This completes the aesthetics that I wanted.
I've been researching on coilovers, and it seems that the RR Racing Road & Track R3 with 16k F/10k R spring rates will meet my needs for street usage. Before I commit, I'll continue to research more. Regardless, I first need to order the RR Racing LCA USRS and the Sikky rear sway bar kit, so that's still step one.
In the meantime, this was the short term solution until I find a set of decent quality OEM headlights. I tried my best to apply the overlays as perfectly as possible, however, I failed.
A JoeZ intake inlet appeared for sale recently, and after some research, I decided to purchase it. I haven't driven the car yet, however when I do, I'll report if there is any audible change, as others have reported.
The induction growl is more pronounced with the JoeZ inlet. The car looks superb with the RC F rims. I went on a quick drive on my typical route, and there is no rubbing whatsoever, as others have stated. 245/35 front and 275/30 rear tires.
I don't know when I'll get around to taking high quality pictures with the current aesthetic because all I want to do is drive.
Today, I read all of the threads on the Figs and RR Racing LCA bushings. Based on my application and environment, the Figs LCA bushings are better suited, so I believe that's going to be the final decision. I also read all of the threads on the Sikky sway bars. I definitely want the 19mm rear sway bar kit, and I'm contemplating on just upgrading the front sway bar bushings with the Figs offerings. Either way, the Figs LCA bushings are the priority right now, as well as an alignment directly afterwards, so I don't ruin two new sets of tires.
1) Figs LCA bushings
2) Alignment
3) Sikky rear sway bar kit + Figs front sway bar bushings
4) Tackle the water pump and related maintenance (will most likely be pushed into 2026)
Haven't driven in nearly three weeks. However, I've managed to secure a low mileage 2012 OEM IS F suspension. Now, I don't have to spend several thousand on aftermarket coilovers, and instead, I'll focus on securing an OEM LSD.
I've been informed that I now have access to a car scale. I'll be going tonight to find out what my IS F weighs. I've been curious ever since I purchased it since the previous owner deleted the spare tire and tools from the trunk.
Both cars had full tanks of fuel. 150 lb seems excessive for just the spare tire and tools, so now I have to wonder if my car is missing anything else... Also, it appears that the headlight fixed itself.
