Cool Nürburgring RCF Track Edition

Hello guys,
i just registered and i'd like to introduce myself and my car.
I own a 2020 RCF Track Edition and i take it to the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife on a regular basis.

Until recently my car was completely stock except from the racing harnesses and the A052 tires. I lapped the Nordschleife BTG in 07:49 which is pretty fast for this type of car.

I found out that there were only a few issues that make the stock car slower than it could be:
  • The lack of negative camber on the front wheels prevent the car from using all of the tire in a corner, creating a lot of understeer.
  • The stock Michelin Pilots Sport 4S tire has a very soft tire flank, reducing the contact surface even more.
Living in germany does not make it easy to modify a car. There are only a few legal options i have.
I had a really good improvement by switching to the Yokohama Advan A052 Tires. They have a stiff flank and reduce untersteer even with the stock suspension. I can't say enough positive things about this tire. Just put it on your RCF and try it for yourself, it puts the car to anothere level. Still drivable on the street and in the rain too. With this i managed my 07:49 lap record so far.

Then i upgraded to a modified KW V3 suspension recently. It is made by a german company called Pfeiffer Fahrzeugtechnik. It is 3-way adjustable and uses stiffer springs. I was not able to do a hot lap yet but from analysing some sectors i have driven so far i am looking at a potential 07:30 here. This suspension is insane. It eliminates all of the understeer, especially mid corner and corner exit.

Last week i also added ProTrack One Wheels with Nankang AR1 tires. I increased tire width at the front fron 255 to 265. With the combination of the suspension and these wheels i am going for the 07:30 lap time.

If you want to follow me on my journey, you can have a look at my instagram @parakoopawing here

I also upload my laps from time to time on youtube

I am looking forward to some nice conversations.

Welcome. 7:49 is a great lap time and shows potential of RCF. Are you Julius by any chance who has the RCF TE laps featured on HuangBro's channel with the 7:52 lap time? Some of those pictures are also of his RCF TE. Loved how you crossed the line with the rpm pegged at around 7400 rpm rev limiter.

Welcome Julius. I always used to wonder, it is a matter of time before you join this forum. Glad to see you finally joined. Really looking forward to your quest for the 7:30 in your RCF TE. Cheers!

I think it could have easily been a 2 or 3 seconds quicker, if you had not been caught behind the slow car in the beginning where you had to really slow down and pick up in a higher gear.

Beautiful car and such a good video. Love the heads up display edit and seeing the F on track. Have you done any mods?
