It's worth a try...

 

You should try compound and then a polish instead of the oxiclean to be on the safe side.

 

OxiClean may not take out the Goo Gone, but it will definitely not harm the finish. Lestoil, used sparingly and carefully, will remove the Goo Gone, but it must be removed and cleaned off the paint surface quickly.

I'm afraid the OP may have marred (scratched) the clearcoat in places by rubbing (friction) with a microfiber towel and the micro scratches have absorbed the oil and citrus based Goo Gone making it difficult to remove.

 

yea i I was gonna take it to a professional if it didn't come out

 

ive tried it and it's almost completely gone. I'm gonna try once more tomorrow and hope I never have to see it agian

How long did you leave the OxiClean gel on the paint finish? As I said, don't be concerned with leaving the gel on overnight, or for multiple days if you wish. It will NOT harm your finish...

 

If you have a dual action polisher that'll buff right out no doubt. You can check out chemicalguys.com. They have a few kits that include all you need to buff that out.

 

There is no need to remove any of the finish if you don't have to.

 

it started rain right after I put it on so I had to reapply but I'm gonna put some on in the morning tomorrow and reapply more throughout the day then take it off before sun down

 

That's good. Remember, you can leave it on for weeks if you wish without any harm whatsoever. Glad it's working for you. Keep us informed on the end result...

 

bclexus, I read through this thread and I like your energy & confidence with recommending the OP use the OxiClean Gel Stick for his issue. I'll keep your recommendation in mind as well.
