I'm afraid the OP may have marred (scratched) the clearcoat in places by rubbing (friction) with a microfiber towel and the micro scratches have absorbed the oil and citrus based Goo Gone making it difficult to remove.

How long did you leave the OxiClean gel on the paint finish? As I said, don't be concerned with leaving the gel on overnight, or for multiple days if you wish. It will NOT harm your finish...

If you have a dual action polisher that'll buff right out no doubt. You can check out chemicalguys.com. They have a few kits that include all you need to buff that out.

it started rain right after I put it on so I had to reapply but I'm gonna put some on in the morning tomorrow and reapply more throughout the day then take it off before sun down

That's good. Remember, you can leave it on for weeks if you wish without any harm whatsoever. Glad it's working for you. Keep us informed on the end result...
