3m paint protection in a can
Anyone use this stuff? Im picking some up tonight and will apply it to my entire front bumper. Too many curves to mess with the film. I do about 1500 miles a month highway driving, those gravel trucks are killin me!. will post some pics.
Once dry it will peel off just like a film. Im a little concrned as I dont want to remove the bumper foglights, and im scared it will create little film membrane in the gap between bumper and light. we shall see.

I've heard mixed reviews.... probably more unhappy than anything.
Biggest complaints being that it looks poor - a lot of texture results in a dull appearance unlike the real PPF that is truly flat and clear.
Other complaints is that it can be very difficult to remove.
No personal experience with it though.

hmm, i shall try just the very lower part of the bumper as a test.
i also read about the removal, key is the paint has to be perfectly waxed.
if it doesnt look good ill just go back to plan A of the film.
What i do like about it is i can spray the side skirts and bumper right behind the front and rear wheels to prevent chips there. tough areas to wrap as theyres surface imperfections from chips already present jsut filled with a paint pen.
can definitly wrap it but have to remove off the car, sand, paint, etc etc..

i did it and regret doing it lol. Worst orange peel look ever. Good thing i waxed it well so it peels off easy. I will take my time and use the real clear film next week. Comes in handy for the side skirts exposed ot tire spray i guess...

I too heard negative things and still have 2 cans of it sitting in the shop waiting to be unused .
I didn't care much for the bad look of it, but what got me was that removal was nearly impossible after a few months of it being on the paint. While the savings may be great over a typical protection film and can be applied by the owner somewhat easily, the removal of it may easily damage the paint or take hours so I wouldn't recommend it.
I'll still probably try it out on some mirrors and see how everything looks over time, but for now I'm surely not recommending it to anyone.
