Angry Rock chips!

I have a ton of small paint chips because of rocks all over my front bumper. Any suggestions on what can be done other than having my entire bumper repainted? I don't really want to at least make it look better by using touch up paint on 100 spots. Is there some type of compound or something that I can rub on my entire bumper to make them blend in better?

I think you're out of luck. When I moved out of Florida I had bug damage (along with rock chips) on my front bumper (freakin' love bugs...). I got the whole thing repainted once I got to Cali, and it looks ALMOST as good as new. When you get right up to it you can still see little areas where a particularly nasty rock gouged more than just the paint. I don't think any other solution will do. In any event, it should only run you a few hundred bucks.

I have the same problem....I've never heard of some miracle compound that would fix everything..

I am getting the nose of the car repainted and immediately protecting with XPEL film to minimize future repeat occurences...

I'm not sure there is much you can do except this....

Default Professional chip repair

There are companies that specialize in large scale chip repair. I understand they spread matched paint on the chips, then squeegee off the excess, leaving only the chip filled. Do a Yahoo search under chip repair, or start asking around better car dealers and recon shops. Note: some shops get a referral for this, so if you can contact the service provider directly, you'll prolly do better.

Good Luck.

Default Use colored wax every week

Short of repainting or using a black "Sharpie" marker, your only other option is to use Turtle Wax's "Colored Wax".

The first go around will require two very heavy applications and then just do it weekly thereafter.

Good Luck,
Eric
