Default whats the best way to keep a new car clean

Hi all, like the rest of us I like to keep my car looking in as new condition. If its grimy then I would wash it with buckets of water and then wipe it down, but if its just dusty then what’s is the best way to clean it. In the past I have just used a damp chamois but I feel that this may not be the best way because it could cause scratches and swirls.
I am awaiting delivery of my new GS and would like to keep it the same way without causing any scratches
Any advice please.

Opti-Coat that thing as soon as you take delivery.

Make sure you prep the surface well, do a full decontamination and polish any swirls or paint imperfections. After that is done apply the Opti-Coat 2.0

The new GS and many new Lexus models have butter soft paint that scratches and mars very easily. The opti coat is a permenant coating that will make washing super easy so you will almost never have to scrub the paint hard to get bugs off, tar, bird droppings, and anything else that may stick to the surface.

It's only $60 bucks for the kit and one kit can do a few cars.

If the car is just dusty, use some quality microfiber towels (cobra JR. 600 is my favourite for quick detailing) combined with some quick detailer, I use the Meguiars Ultimate Quick Detailer. It will get most dust off the car safely if used properly while giving it a great shine. But make sure to know the limit. Also, applying some wax will help keep dirt and grime off the car. Congrats on your purchase, the new GS is a phenomenal car.

+1 on the OptiCoat. I drove my car almost straight from the dealership to get the OptiCoat put on by a professional (Chris@Optimum). Washed, decontaminated, spot polished, and then the Opticoat. I normally clay and polish myself but wanted my new car to be as perfect as possible. Best money I have ever spent on detailing (except for the OptiCoat that Chris put on my GS a couple of years ago).
