Turned into a mess...

So I drove my 2010 IS350 down to Key West this past week and really loved the drive. The car was parked the whole week, except for one day when we went to stock island for lunch. We were inside for an hour, maybe a little longer, when I come outside and notice a bird took a wicked dump on my drivers front fender.... I'm pretty **** about my car, so naturally I started to freak out. I quickly poured some water on it and even used some detailer mist that I had in my trunk. It got the actual crap off, but I could still see the outline in the paint of the mess. I decided to go to the store and see if there was anything that I might be able to use and the only thing they remotely had that looked like it would work was polishing compound. So I reluctantly bought this and tried to polish out the marks. Well, that looks like I made it worse and I'm not sure what to do now. I tried Meguires paint cleaner when I got home, but that didn't help. I do have a PC, but it has been a few years since I've had to use it. I've included a picture if it helps.

Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks
Michael

Must've been rocks in a bottle. PC will take care of that alright. No need to stress too much bud

least aggressive pad and polish first.

Lexus clearcoat is pretty soft so a white polishing pad and some Menzerna power finish would be my first try

if you are looking for over the counter products only then maybe try some Meguiars ultimate compound for a couple passes on a white pad.

Thanks for all the input... I was a bit nervous breaking out the PC, but ended up doing it and it worked great.

Thanks again
Michael

Awesome, you can't tell anything ever shat on it! And thanks for posting an "after" picture, it helps ease apprehension for those of us in similar predicaments.
