Use one many years ago ( like 15 years ago ), and still have it with me. Don't use it that much but it has it duty on the wifes car, we do sell something like it here at ProperAutoCare.com called the Water Sprite Plus.
I use one to soak up the big puddles and water drops, a quick wipe down of the horozontal surfaces to keep water spots from forming. Then I finish up with a couple of thicker MF towels.
The thing about it is it doesn't have any nap like some of the microfiber drying towels which means it will drag any small particles left on your paint creating more scratches.
I've been using this for years with no problems. The life span on these are impressive. What I do is dab it instead of wiping. Still efficient and does the job

Yes, this is very true, you should only use it on a very clean car.
What I can't figure out is how it doesn't mold in the plastic container. The instructions tell you to keep it wet and store it damp, which I do. It's a mystery to me that you can pull it out of the sleeve after storing it for months/years, it will still be damp, but no mold or stink. There must be some sort of bactericide embedded in the cloth.
