i have never used a glaze, but i believe it goes on between polishing and sealants/wax. my guess would be that it would last as long as the LSP on top of it?

Glaze by itself last a week, less if it rains, or one good wash. You have to put a wax/sealant on top of it. I do a complete wash, clay, wash, glaze, polish, wax and seal once every 3 months-ish.

Why apply glaze before polish? You'll be removing any glaze applied during the polishing stage.

Why polish every three months? With the proper wash technique, you shouldn't need to polish that often.

This chart is helpful as it shows when to glaze in the detailing process.

I don't really do the whole "glaze" step or what is specifically labeled a glaze as they seem more like an unnecessary step to me. After a polish with a medium to heavy polish I use a finer finishing polish to get rid of any haze and after thoroughly washing the polishing oils off I go to adding a sealant process. Technically a AIO from Klass, Zaino, Jeff Werkstatt or others could be considered a type of glaze which I do use since they have very fine polishing and cleaning abilities but are more bases for later non abrasive glossier sealant/wax applications.

Thing is with a glaze it would have to be compatible with the sealant you are adding on to bond properly. You can't use say a Menzerna glaze and then leave it on and then do Zaino AIO followed by a Zaino sealant because the Zaino or most other products are not going to bond to the finish properly if there is some other glaze on it that has not been completely washed off. Glaze is a step to me that is not really needed and a waste of time in my detailing process but some people prefer to do glazes and like the results.

I am not sure how a regular glaze lasts but the AIOs from Zaino, Klass, Jeff Werkstatt, etc can last a pretty long time 3-6months and even longer if they are topped with their non abbrasive sealant cousins every few months.
