Default Leather Cleaner

I have the Lexus leather cleaner/conditioner and recently just bought Mcguires leather wipes.. Is there a huge difference between the two? I favor the GS and use the Lexus Leather kit and Mcquires on the ES and my GF's car..

Thanks..

Also are wipes good for the steering wheel..

I used the Lexus brand stuff for a while before I switched over to Leatherique. I don't really know much about the Meguiar's wipes but I would imagine that it's probably good stuff.

You should consider the Leatherique when your current stock runs out.

I use the leather master line up (cleaner, conditioner, and protectant). It works great for me and made the seats in my 98 SC300 even softer than before. It was definitely worth the money.

Leatherique is popular too, but I have no personal experience with it. I'm looking to try it in the future when I get another older car.

I'm not able to accurately compare those two. However I second the opinion to try the Leatherique (Prestine Clean and Rejuvenator Oil) when those are done. It has outstanding cleaning power and if you use the conditioner you can soften cardboard hard leather. We have them in stock at www.detailedimage.com and ready to ship to you with 10% off (coupon code 10offCL) if you are interested. Let me know if you have any questions.

I can give you my opinion. I'm a pretty big Meguiar's fan but I don't care for their leather products. The wipes are very oily and leave the leather slippery. I really don't want my steering wheel to be slippery. I have used the Lexus products and found them pretty good. I use what I have left of the Meguair's leather wipes for my office furniture. I prefer Leather Master's Strong Cleaner and Protection Cream for my leather now.

Yea i used the wipes yesterday on both cars and had to go back with a towel to get the oiliness off.. Its a great shine but i'll finish these and stick to the lexus cleaner/conditioner... Than after that i may try the Leatherique product.

I just wanted something that was quick to use since i'm in the gym a lot and getting the leather and steering wheel all oily from my sweat etc.. The GS leather is like brand new and i want it to stay that way..

I think the Lexus stuff is a better cleaner and conditioner, but the Meguiars smells like leather

I have tried a few leather products, Meguiars and Lexol cleaner and Lexol conditioner.I found that the Lexol products did a much better cleaning and conditioning job.The seats are in a 94LS400.My 2 cents.

Yeah, the bottled Lexus cleaner does a pretty good job cleaning, but i notice it tends to leave a kind of dry feeling afterwards ( I guess it's doing its job??). So , i usually follow up with some of that Meguiar's leather conditioner that comes in a squeeze bottle to bring back that moisture and suppleness to the leather. I've had great results with this since it doesn't leave a grimey/oily layer on the leather.
I've heard some great things about the leatherique, where can i get some of this stuff. I'm assuming some of our vendors carry it?
Thanks in advance

I just went with leatherique for my 2008 IS 350 (bought new in January). If anyone is interested, I posted about the purchase from detailedimage.com here: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/aut...ml#post4865729
