Default wax and buff

hi guys, i just got my car in nov 2009. when should i consider getting it machined buffed and waxed?? how often do you guys do it? this guy quoted me 75 for buff and wax. so do they wash it too?? is this a good deal? sorry for all the newbie questions!!

How long you wait to do any polishing is going to be up to you really. If the dealer didnt induce a lot of swirls/spider webbing when they washed it, you really shouldnt have a need to do it right away.
I would hope the place that quoted you the 75.00 would include a wash if they plan on polishing/waxing. The price does seem a little low, so just make sure they're using quality products. Something you can consider doing is picking up a couple of products and doing it yourself. For 75.00 +/- you can get a nice paint cleaner, wax, soap/wash mitt and maintain the vehicle longer for the same amount of money. Additionally, you may consider claying the vehicle. This is a pretty easy step that makes a noticeable improvement and preps the surface for the paint cleaner and wax.
