Default Spray On Wax?

Hi all,

Long story short, I'm in college with limited time and water. I've already decided to go the Optimum No Rinse route and am looking for a wax that can save me time as well. Does anyone have any experience with Optimum's spray on car wax or any type of spray on wax for that matter?

Also, if I could get some tips as to how to wash my car well (i.e. drying techniques) it would greatly be appreciated. My last car was admittedly a beater and if it ever got washed it was at one of those no touch high pressure washes.

Spray on wax is fast, but doesn't protect the paint like a coat of paste/liquid wax/sealant. Its basically washed off the next time you wash the car and is used only to maintain the wax finish between waxings. if you have time to wax at least once every two/3 months, then you can use the spray wax inbetween.

As for washing the car, I recently started using optimum no rinse, and i mixed a bottle of quick detailer to wipe off any dust once a week with a microfiber towel.

duragloss aquawax. Use Duragloss #105 (total performance polish) before hand and you won't need to rewax your car for about 3-4 months. thats about how long my beater cars get waxed. the IS get waxed about once-twice a month.

I used optimum wax on my gf's car....it came out really shiny but didnt give me the "smoothness"......

I washed mine with optimum no rinse, then wax it with NXT.

Check out the link for NXT:

hope this helps.....

I went that route by just washing the car and using only a spray on wax. I've used ones made by Dupont and Turtle Wax ICE. I only use them after the car is washed, apply regular type wax, and afterwards spray on the Turtle Wax ICE. It shouldn't be used soley as your wax protection against the elements.
