Default Experience with PC / questions.

Just got my first PC from Detailer Domain. Really like the kit. If you are just starting with the PC here is what I would suggest a couple of things.
1. Wash the car and make sure it is totally dry. I know this sounds basic, but it is a big help. I used compressed air or a electric blower.
2. Clay the car with a nice kit. I got the Adam's kit from DD.
3. Use some halogen lights. Again sounds basic, but I tried with regular lights and I could not tell if I got out all the swirl marks. Got mine from Walmart, $35.

Couple of questions.
1. I have a black GS300. I used the 1z intensive polish, then gloss finish, next final finish, finally 1z glaze wax. It looks a lot better, but there seems to be a slight haze. I did use the intensive polish twice because of the deep swirl marks. Do I have to do the gloss finish twice. Seems to be hard to tell what to look for. Also how to fix things you notice, for example the slight hazing.

Picture is before. I will post after in a sec.

Big improvement! I'm sure that it's going to be a lot more fun to see that paint in direct sun now! Keep up the good work.

Thanks everyone. Man it takes a lot of work. I worked on it again this morning. Have almost one side done, lol. I currently have a green, blue, and black pad. Seems like I really have to work with the green a lot to get the scratches out. Would a Lake County orange pad work better?

Thanks again!

Nice work so far! An orange pad should technically work a little better at defect removal. However, dont expect that one pass w/ the orange will completely knock everything out either.

depending on how deep your swirls/ scratches are...usually blue/grey pads are for finishing. green is more for AIO products. Orange pads are have more cutting power for swirls and scratches. white pads dont have too much cut. the green pad you have is pretty much in the middle of the finishing and cutting pads.
