purchase some leatherique "rejuvenation oil" and "prestine clean". It's expensive but worth it.
Use the rejuvenation oil first, followed by the prestine clean. Just follow the directions on the bottle. The stuff works WONDERS for removing dirt and making the leather nice and soft. I have never used a leather cleaner and conditioner like it.
the lexus cleaner and conditioner is a silicone based product. Not good for the dye of the leather. It's also a "gel" vs a liquid which tends to get gross.
It's nothing special, and i would advise against using it.
Using leather CPr on my moms 2002 rx leather ..and it works pretty good she doesnt have the perforated leather seats so there are alot of cracks..Got it for 20 dollars for 2 18oz bottle at costco.
that's good that it will be warm! Let the car sit out in the sun for a few hours with the windows closed (so the pores of the leather open up). Then rub the rejuvenator oil in with your hands (i'd suggest wearing rubber gloves) really massaging it into the fibers. Then close the doors back up, let it stay out in the sun as long as you can. Let it sit out overnight if possible too. The longer it sits the better. After it's had a long time to soak, apply some of the prestine clean onto a soft cotton towel and wipe away the "gew" left on the leather from the rejuvenator oil. Then wipe with a slightly damp rag and let sit in the sun for a couple of more hours to evaporate whatever's left on the surface.
