buy either the 7424 or whats called "the ultimate detailing machine"
search google and you'll find some really good deals.
i bought the pc itself for 110 and then a 6" hook and loop backing plate with 4 ccs foam pads (orange, white, black, and blue) for i believe 40.
once you get it, I would recommend the meguiars hi-tech yellow carnauba wax. You can buy it in gallons at your local auto paint supplier or autozone has it in i believe 16oz bottles.
Heres a link to the UDM (ultimate detailing machine). It is made by porter cable and actually works out better with pricing considering what you get w/ it. UDM comes w/ a flexible backing plate, backing plate tool, and polishing pad. If you'd like to grab some pads with it, heres a few other options for you as well, all packaged up

For wax sure, but I was referring to paint correction.
If you just want to apply a liquid wax, you could probably pick up one of the sears random orbital machines w/ a bonnet.
Applying and removing a quality wax or sealant is extremely easy. The key to any wax application is to apply it very thinly. Use a foam or microfiber covered foam pad and pay particular attention to applying a thin even coat. Removing the haze should only take a couple easy passes with a microfiber towel.
There are some buffers available that can apply the wax but they really don't make the job much easier IMO, especially of you are looking for something cordless. With limited use the batteries die an early death. The pads for these tools are not very good and the whole experience is far from rewarding. The best cordless I have used was made by Wren, yet I can't recommend it.
