Default Sparkly Windows

Interesting title I know

On my last windshield (long story) it always looked like I had thrown glitter on it when the sun was shining directly on it. When it was dark, or the sun was not directly shining on it, it was fine. My question is, how do I keep that from happening with my new windshield?

I used Stoner's invisible glass and 2 microfibers weekly on the other windshield. Thanks

If it is sand/dirt how would I go about getting it off? (Other than having a rock break the window and getting a new one...which is what happened)

I had a handful of rock chips, but these weren't them. If I dragged my fingernail over the windshield it would feel perfectly fine.

Could it be acid etching? Were you in the area where older historical buildings were being cleaned? They spray hydrofluoric acid to clean the old brick and stone. Any airborne overspray that gets on your windshield will leave thousands of tiny etched pits. I had this wonderful experience. The building renovation company had to replace all my glass. There were hundreds of vehicles that got this acid overspray in the area.

Nope no older buildings where I am. It sounds like the most likely culprit would be the sand etching so far

Sounds like etching of rock/sand to me. Try claying your window if you say you can feel it.

Another alternative is a glass resurfacing kit. Companies like Diamondite makes kits to fix and I personally used one to remove large scratches from my rear windshield so it does work.

Good luck.
