Leatherique
I have a 96 es300 and my brother just bought a 2004 accord with a leather interior. My es leather is cracked, dry and hard. Will the leatherique work for my car even though its cracked and old? Does anyone recommend using leatherique on my car and my brothers 2004 accord? Since his car is new, does it need that? He's using what I'm using, meguiars leather cleaner and conditioner. Also, I've seen pictures of it being used, won't the seat belts get all dirty and messy, or the oil drip into the carpet or have oil runoff?
Everyone makes it sound like a miracle and I trust them, but I just need to know what ot expect before I dish out 80 bucks or so.
Please advise!
Thanks! Your input is very much appreciated
As for your concerns, they have crack filler that is matched to your leather color, but whether or not you'd be thrilled with the result vs a new panel or 2 of leather is harder to say. I think most here would agree that having an upholsterer replace the panels that are cracking would be best. That said, if you can't afford to do that, the Leatherique's crack filler and rejuvenator oil would make them look and feel lot better.
As far as the pictures you've seen, it's like any other big job-you have to do the prep and cover up things you don't want damaged, just like you would if you sprayed paint or anything else.
As I see it, you can spend a lot (replacement) and have them look like new, or spend quite a bit less ( Leatherique) and have them look "much improved" over what you have now. Your decision.
Best of luck.
