Default Ceramic Coated Side Effect

Recently, I had cleaned up my RX and then Ceramic coated it. It is only a year old, always hand washed never been accident only has 12k miles on it. However after some paint correction and then ceramic coating the gloss has really brought out the orange peel in the paint from factory. I guess prior to gloss enhancement it really went unnoticed, but now since it so glossy if you look with the light you see ripple effect of the paint.

I guess it could always be worst, but it really brought it out in gloss with light against it. I am OCD, so sure no one else would realize it.

However the coating is great, everything comes right off it and it does look brand new.

I can see how the ceramic coating brought out the orange peel more prominently. It’s one of those things that can be more noticeable with a high-gloss finish. Considering the benefits you’ve gained—easy cleaning, protection, and a fresh, glossy look—it sounds like the coating was still a good investment.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Good to know about the slipperiness.
