I'm sure it might seem sacrilegious to some, but has anyone added pin striping or any accent paint to their LC? Against my wife's better judgement I ran a simple double stripe down the side of our new RX. She latter grudgingly admitted that it did look 'good' and sets it of from other RXs.
Roaring flames might be a bit much, but "Ghost Stripes"?
I would highly recommend against pinstripe. The LC is no RX. You don't need to set it apart like the sea of RX out there. If you did want to add some color maybe some vinyl wrap?
The lines on the LC are not conducive to striping. I know because I tried. Never owned a Lexus that didn't have painted stripes.
But my paint guy absolutely refused to put a stripe on this car because in his opinion, "the car didn't need it, and the stripe would only mess it up."
So I reluctantly trusted his professional opinion.
Have the option to do painted or vinyl stripes. Cannot see a defined line for stripping. That's why I asked. The paint work shown is interesting, do not know if I would go that far. I have had good luck with 'Ghost Stripes'. May have to see what works with the colour.
MLML, I agree 100%. What you see is what you get a great look, its why we own them, I believe it will cheapen the look. There is nothing to gain by adding a stripe/graphics.
Well, a velvet roof might really help with the heat down here, although is is supposed to be 3o degrees this week end. Maybe it would help keep heat in??
Just trying to get ideas from previous/current owners. That's why I joined this forum. All good ideas(maybe not the velvet roof?).
samthesham, i was just kidding of course, and i actually like subtle contrasting pinstripes but probably not on an LC as it's so sleek that the pinstripes i think would take away (distract) from all the curves and way the light shines on different surfaces.
Actually, that velvet roof is a bit distinctive(??). I will pass.
To fit in here in S.W. Fla. I really should add a few bumper stickers all over the back propounding my political and religious view. Of course a couple of American flags to proclaim my patriotism(10yrs. in the military not enough I guess). Many here feel they must let everyone know their religious, political, sociological and any other views. I subscribe to the concept that, Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool, than open it and remove all doubt.
