I purchased a key fob from Sewellparts.com in Oct 2014 and thought I was purchasing a 2008 key fob. Fast forward, I finally got around to trying to program the key and the dealer said it is not compatible. Sewell will only accept the part if I have the original packaging (I do not...) so it's up for sale here. Big thanks to Sewell for even considering a 6 month exchange! Note that this does not include a blank master key. Selling for $90... photos coming tonight.

Not sure why it wouldn't work, the numbers on that remote are the same as the numbers on my 2008's remote.

 

That's what I was saying. However the part numbers ARE different (can't tell on the key fob itself). The only thing that differentiates between the different models is the packaging which has the part number.
