V-LED, 9005 LED DRL Kit, 2 bulbs and 2 modules
V-LED DRL Daytime running Light LED and Module Kit 9005 bulb
Pulled from my SC430 prior to selling the car. Posted in the IS Forums because it’s much more active, plus these lights will work on any car that has 9005 size DRL.
This is for a pair of V-LED 6000k bulbs and DRL modules. These bulbs are the bright ones, each bulb has 68 SMD LEDs This is the older version of the DRL kit they used to sell. Works well for the IS because everything can be sealed up behind the dust/moisture cover for the bulbs.
Pictures are of the actual item. With comparison pictures taken from my car when i was replacing it with the stock bulbs.
In the picture, the light looks much bluer than it is. (Crappy iphone camera, sorry it’s the best i can do.)
**Disclaimer, there was some slight flickering when it was installed on my car. From what i was told, the flickering varies from car to car. I went back and forth with VLED replacing modules until i just gave up. Even with the flickering, the look is much better than the original stock yellow bulbs. The flickering isn’t bad, you can barely notice it when the car isn’t close, however it’s noticeable when you stare at the light up close.
The flickering is not like strobing, the light doesn’t cut out, it just seems that the brightness doesn’t stay constant. The flickering is at the worse when the car is started up, but gets better and sometimes go away when everything is warmed up.
When the high beam is used, the flickering goes away all together. Therefore I’m sure a relay harness will correct the flickering problem. (this probably explains why their newer DRL kits only include 1 module and a relay harness). It never bothered me enough to invest in the relay harness. Like i said, the flickering is not bad and even with the flickering, it still looks much better than the stock yellow bulbs.
Price $40.00.
Location: North California (South Bay).
Pick up with cash preferred, otherwise buyer pays for shipping and paypal.
