Default are the led DRL bulbs changeable?

my 3IS 250 will be arriving soon, so i have alot of questions in mind, as ive seen some 3IS's here with very whitish DRLs (for example rastaracer's) and some other members have a yellowish color.

so im wondering if the bulbs of the DRLs can be changed?

The DRL are LEDs, not bulbs.

All 3IS's come with the same color DRLs. The differences you're seeing are just photos taken under different conditions/lighting/camera settings.

Go check out the lighting in person and see if it looks white to you. As mentioned, there's always a way to change it, but they are not like other bulbs that have "standard sizing" where you can just plug and play, so it will cost you a lot of money and/or time to do a custom job.

Short answer: no.
The DRL housing is one unit. Some members have tint on their DRL to get a different colour.

The yellow color that you saw was a vinyl overlay... If you wanted you could put a red, blue any color vinyl overlay and the light emitted will be he color of the vinyl

Well....

LED are Diodes. ......and they are cheap...very cheap. If you ever want to change your LED. There are no after markets producers for individual LED on every car.... for now.

But in the future, there may be services.

General knowledge is that these LEDs are Lead Soldered on electrical board, or housing or...etc. Each individual LED has their own Resistance rating, and Power rating...You can Measure these LEDS of which size it may fit in the Housing. Then go on google, and search.

There are a Huge Website for Electrical Components, they sell to business and the same as individual use. You can order everything from LED to Capacitors....etc.

On the LED, find the size that may fit your Housing, order a few samples. Then try and see if it fit. Solder it on, it is not hard, just a bit of practice, and you will get it....Even if it doesn't fit....like smaller...you can use the Glass Glue, and Fill it up. They are removable, and LED will not produce as much heat as to melt it....if you want, you can find out the Glue tolerated temperature, and the produced temperature of the LED you are about to fit in

Do It Yourself will be time consuming, but will be worth it....because to myself, I love electrical stuff
