Lexus at SEMA 2018

From color-changing wraps to a mini wine cellar in the trunk, Lexus delivers a handful of wonderful builds to the Vegas Strip.

ClubLexus is live on the floor of SEMA 2018, where the only thing hotter than the custom builds is the desert heat of Las Vegas.

Speaking of hot, Lexus went all out with its display at SEMA, presenting a fine selection of builds to the many guests walking by.

First up is this LC 500 Inspiration Series Concept, parked next to the UX introduced at Monterey a few months ago. The car can hit zero to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds thanks to its 471-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 mated to a 10-speed direct-shift transmission. The Flare Yellow paint is as bright as the desert sun outside, but safety features like lane-keeping assist and blind-spot monitoring will help you keep your cool on the street.

Coming up from the Miami Auto Show, this 2019 RC 350 F Sport was the masterpiece of five customization shops, all coming together to deliver “musically influenced modifications” to the prismatic RC 350. We’re not sure what those mods are all about, but we like the sound of them.

From tons of color to solid gray, here’s a 2018 LS 500 F Sport built by Gordon Ting of the Beyond Marketing Group. There’s some custom fabrication from Evasive Motorsports, a Brembo GT brake kit, and a carbon fiber aero kit wrapped in gloss dark gray.

Another build by Ting, this time a 2018 ES 350 F Sport painted in metallic red, rolling on a set of RAYS wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sports. It’s lovely enough, but there’s something really special about this ES 350.

Hidden in the trunk is a full wine cellar. Specifically, there’s a wine refrigerator, iceless wine bottle chiller, oak flooring with refinished oak wine barrel accents, and a couple bottles of wine to celebrate all the big wins from the casino.

We can’t wait to see what Lexus brings to Vegas next year. We definitely hope to see a wine cellar in the trunk of a UX, for starters.
