Gordon Ting

Gordon Ting at Beyond marketing has created several crazy custom-built Lexus cars during the last few years. He has created performance cars for participation in Gumball 3000. Earlier this year, he came out with his newest Lexus project: not one, but two modified LC 500s.

The Lexus LC 500

The Lexus LC 500 costs roughly as much as a Porsche 911 or a BMW M5, hovering around the $100K mark. But you get a lot of bang for the buck. The Lexus grand tourer has a sporty sleek body with LED triple-projector headlights and characteristic LED tail lights. The interior, in typical Lexus fashion, is made of high-quality materials and the engine is a 471 horsepower 5.0-liter V8. The car is equipped with 6-piston front caliper brakes, 4-piston rear calipers, a dynamic suspension, and a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

The yellow LC

Gordon, however, had the vision to improve upon an already great automobile. The yellow LC has a full aero kit developed by Japanese Artisan Spirits accompanied by HRE wheels. The car is also equipped with a KW suspension system with hydraulic lift. The lift system makes it possible to raise the front and rear end of the car in order to avoid hitting speed bumps and curbs. To make the car safer but also to get that real sporty touch, the car is equipped with a custom roll cage fabricated by California based performance parts supplier Evasive Motorsports.

The red widebody LC

The red widebody LC also has a full aero kit developed by Japanese Artisan Spirits, but for this car, it is a widebody kit. The red LC also wears a Voltex carbon fiber rear wing. Just like the yellow LC, the red one is also equipped with hydraulic lift. Brembo brakes and Volk Racing forged G25Edge 22-inch wheels are used as well. To create a nice driving experience, the interior is complemented by two reupholstered Sparco carbon seats.

Already rebuilt

The red LC was unveiled at the 2017 SEMA show in Las Vegas but has already undergone a transformation. The satin red wrap and the 22-inch wheels have been replaced by a blue wrap and 20-inch TE37 racing wheels. The blue color was chosen to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the Lexus F Sport styling. The car was transformed just in time to participate in the 10-day long spanning over 10 cities, 2018 Gold Rush Rally. There are no further plans for the yellow LC as of yet, but we would not be surprised to see additional modifications to it in the future.
