Revised 2019 Lexus RC 350 F Sport Caught on Display
The sportier version of the revised 2019 Lexus RC is a real looker. And it borrows quite a bit of influence from its big brothers.
It’s only been a matter of days since the covers came off the revised 2019 Lexus RC. But thanks to the astute eyes of Reddit user longdistamce, we now have a series of in the flesh pictures of one sweet looking 2019 Lexus RC 350 F Sport. The OP caught the mid-cycle refreshed RC on display at the Orange County International Auto Show recently. And his efforts certainly give us a more realistic look at the car’s changes than your typical “glamour shot” manufacturer pics.
That includes the revised front fascia, which sports a striking new grille and headlight design. Those elements, along with new taillights, draw influence from the LC coupe. F Sport models such as this one also gain some unique styling cues, including a distinctive grille mesh pattern and LS and LC-inspired 19-inch wheels. Altogether, those little touches give the 2019 Lexus RC F Sport a more modern, high-end appearance.
The interior is largely unchanged from the previous gen, but there are some updates worth mentioning. A new “Dark Gray Streamline treatment” adorns the heater control and audio panels. Lexus enlarged the knee pads to “create a heightened sense of space.”
The analog clock and cup holder have been redesigned. F Sport buyers also get three new choices of interior colors: Circuit Red, Black with Yellow Accents and White. Perhaps the most welcome change inside the 2019 Lexus RC, however, is the addition of Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa comparability.
Minor changes, indeed. But they all add up to create a distinctively styled coupe that looks very modern. Heck, you’d have a hard time telling it’s based on a now five-year-old platform. For those that love the LC but can’t pony up the cash, the new RC looks like a worthy alternative!
