Lexus CT200h Hybrid Crossover Hatchback Most Reliable Car

CT200h beats out the likes of Suzuki, Audi, Honda, and even its cousins at Toyota to be deemed the most reliable secondhand purchase.

The last thing we need to convince you of is the fact that Lexus is a reliable brand. That has been proven and reiterated time and time again. However, in a slightly surprising turn of events, the Lexus CT200h seems to be the favor of the UK’s secondhand market. It is now the most reliable used car purchase according to UK residents, beating out a handful of surprising competitors.

Yahoo News UK brings this new prestigious title to light. According to their report, automotive publication What Car? surveyed over 18,000 UK drivers to find the most reliable used car over a year-long period. While we aren’t too surprised to see the Audi A3 holding the bottom spot. However, we are a bit surprised by what the CT200h did beat out.

It certainly isn’t hard to see the appeal of the CT200h. With EPA fuel economy ratings in the 40-plus mile-per-gallon range and the signature plush Lexus interior, it’s hard to think of a better daily driver. Especially when you look at the compact footprint of the car and how much room it still has inside. Combine that with Lexus’s notorious reliability, and you’ve got yourself a winner. If it’s winning, though, who exactly is it beating?

According to the What Car? survey, the CT200h is the most reliable used car. 99.5% of the survey takers reported having no issues with the car over the past 12 months. In a close second place is the 2010-2017 model year Suzuki Swift, with a 98.6% reliability rating. Remarkably, below the CT200h comes the Honda Civic, Honda CR-V, Toyota Rav4, and VW Golf. Indeed, when you think of the epitome of reliability, Honda and Toyota both come to mind. It looks like, though, the CT200h has the edge up on everyone else.

Without doubt, the Lexus CT200h is a great car with plenty going for it. Considering the reasonable prices they are going for these days, the temptation to pick one up for a daily driver is very real. Overall, the CT200h is already a well-documented all-around car. You can haul your family around and get groceries while maintaining a remarkable fuel economy. On top of it all, it seems you won’t have to worry about any breakdowns, either.
