need longer wheel studs
I bought some after market wheels to only find out after I had the tires mounted that the front wheels hits the brake calipers. I went out and bought a pair of wheel spacer but, they didn't have any longer studs. I must have been to ten local shops trying to match up something. Can any of you guys give me a link to buy ten longer studs. Thanks in advance, Terp

Call some import speed shops, they might have something similar to this but made for imports: http://store.summitracing.com/produc...earchtype=ecat

hey terp
i had the same prob so i put spacers on the front as well. the problem i had that maybe you are as well is that the lug nuts didnt screw past the first two threads of my studs. I solved the problem by buying some lug nuts that actually screw past the rim. This is very hard to describe but the threads on the nut are narrower so they actually thread past the rim. i cant remeber the actual name of the type of lug nut but any performance store should have them. i wanna say that they are just extended lug nuts but i am not sure. I hope this has helped you a little. PM me if you need more info.

this is not what i have a exactly but i took a picture from the site where i got the idea. The web site is called ZVALVE.com if u wanna check it out and i have also posted a picture. Let me know if this helps. the picture shows how the threads actually screw past the rim to hold more of the stud. The threads are smaller than the holes in your rim. At least they were for me so... hopefully this will work for you

babyboy is talking about shanked or "et" style lug nuts. They are similar to what he has shown, nut have a conical (tapered) seat and the shanked portion is not as long as the ones in the photo. The shank prortudes onto the bore of the lug hole, which gives you about .311" more thread engagement. If your spacer is 1/4" thick, these will work perfectly for you. You will need 12x1.5 ET nuts, part number 4806 from the supplier I have listed below.
Unfortunately, the spacer will likely cause the wheels to not be hub-centric, so the wheels wil become lug-centric (centered by the lug nuts). You may experiece some vibration in the steering wheel at speeds over 50 mph. This might be annoying, but it isn't really unsafe.
You can source these nuts from:
Custom Wheel Accessories, Inc.
2565 Via Palma
Anaheim, CA 92804 US
714-827-5200
800-222-4292
Good luck!
