Did my TPMS sensor break(IS350)?
I recently got a flat and drove around on a spare tire for a few days while I waited for new tires. I had a low tire warning light while the bad wheel was in my trunk but after I removed it I got a check system message.
I got the new tires on today and I still have check system which to me means that one of the TPMS isn't registering with the ecu.
Now I've had a wheel off the car before and ran with a check system light for a few days only to have it go away after reinstalling the wheel. This time however the light is staying on.
I've tried to initialize the sensors but it still gives me the check system light. I'm wondering if one of my sensors got damaged when I had the tires installed.
Since Lexus charges like $100 to reset the TPMS, I would hate to go there and have them try it on a bad sensor only to have to buy the sensor and pay them to do it again.
Any help would be appreciated.
