Default 20" wheel questions

Hello all, just bought a 2006 GS300 rwd w/no radar cruise. I'm looking to buy some staggered 20's for the GS and would like to know what offsets I will need and what tire sizes I can get without upsetting the car (trac control etc.). I'm looking at 20x8.5 fr and 20x10.5 r and have found that 35+ offset up front and 40+ rear should be ok, right? Also, what kind of tire can I get on here? I would like to keep a halfway decent ride so I was thinking 255/35/20fr and 275/35/20r.

Someone please help me out, thanks. Also, are our fog lights 9006's? If so, has anyone upgraded them to HID?

Welcome to CL my friend. Use the search tool in this forum for many answers to your questions. There are photos of cars with 19 and 20" rims. Additionally some have done work on their fogs as well. Happy searching and welcome-

You are correct with the rim size. I have been told that the vehicle will accept a 20x11 in the rear with a 4.5 inch lip. Your tire setup will be way to tall. Most in this forum use 245/35/20 and 275/30/20, I have 245/30/20 and 285/25/20 with no ride problems whatsoever plus I am pretty close to the stock Wheel and Tire Diameter

Thanks everyone. So, if I was to go 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 will I have any problems with the cars' electronics since they're taller than OE?

We have done quite a few 06 GS vehicles with 20" wheels and have the proper fitment specs for your vehicle.

Feel free to email for a consultation

Smile Rollin on 20's or DUBS

Hello fellow LEXUS lovers,

Just wondering does riding on 20's degrade the ride or does it depend on which tire you get and is spending more on high quality tires make a difference.

Sad to say, the ride will degrade. Since you will need to drop the car (unless you like the SUV look), soft suspensions help, tires help but there is no way around the loss of rubber sidewall.
