I Have An '06 Gs300 RWD. Which Of The Following Tire Set-ups Will Not Rub. I Am Going To Purchase Some Rims And Tires Tomorrow. Thanks.
245/35/20 (front) 255/35/20 (rear)
Or
245/40/19 (front) 285/35/19 (rear)
well, you can make either one of those setups rub. it all depends on the offsets of the wheels.
personally, why would you go 19's when you could go 20's for a minimal cost difference?? the 245/35/20 is the same overall diameter of your factory 17's if that helps. the 255/35/20 is going to be a little bit larger than your factory overall diameter. probly about 1/2" - 3/4" difference.
I THINK I AM GOING WITH THE 19s. HERE IS THE SET-UP...JUST WANT TO ENSURE THEY WILL FIT. THE OFFSET IS 20. THANKS AGAIN GUYS...AND GALS...IF ANY.
FRONT
19X8JJ 245/40/19
REAR
19X9.5JJ 285/35/19
20 offset??!?!?!? dude.......your gonna rub. dont order them!
i hope you dont plan on lowering that thing.......at all. the norm for offsets us usually about high 30's for the front and mid to high 40's for the rear. i think you should do your homework a little!

245/35/20 will rub...and doesn't matter on offset it'll still rub. It's because when you are lowered and roll with a 0.5" larger diameter on the tire, you are going to rub on the plastic liner (from experience). Go with the 245/30/20 tire up front, and rear use whatever you like. Unless you are going to run a 245/35/20 on a 10....the tire will rub

Yeah I have 245/35/20 in the front dropped on pro-spec's and I rub like cray on the inner liner so I can either remove the liner or raised the car.
