Short Review: Brembo Blanks+Akebono ProACT Pads
Well, I was starting to get a slight wobble with my factory brakes and decided it was time to get my rotors turned and new pads. Then I found a great deal on some Brembo blanks (thanks timgs300) and read some positive reviews on Akebono ProACT ceramic pads. I could not be happier with the results of this combination and seem much better than what the previous set up was (not sure what as prior owner probably had new brakes installed through Lexus dealer). I do not have any specific data, but I would say braking has improved approximately 20%.
I also had the wobble at 60 mph and decided with the new set-up to remove any rust from the hub of the rotor and my wheels. I sprayed a light coat of Rustoleum on the rotor hub to prevent rust and now my wobble has completely disappered.
If anyone is looking for moderate braking improvement without spending big money, this was a great upgrade for less than $200.

I have the same, except i have the centric premium blanks instead (maybe cheaper than brembo-check tirerack/rockauto but look completely just as good if not better than the brembo)
I also had the shop also change out the brake fluid at the same time.
Per Akebono, I didn't do any bed-in procedures but just drove normally and braked moderately. Took a couple hundred miles for the surfaces to mate, during which you hear whirring from the rotor's grind pattern, but now they grip pretty well...

That was for everything including rotors. Tire Rack has the pads on sale right now. Fronts are $56 and rears are $51.

Im going to go with you dudes recommendation and do brembo rotors/Akebono pads, though only for the rear since that's what i need. I hope it turns out good and i'd like to hear more feedback from you guys as to how they are holding up.

Nice. I have the brake performance drilled / slotted rotors, ss/lines, with Akebono pads. Did the bed in and the peddal feel is alot better, and stops alot shorter.
