Squeaking brakes
When I 1st brought the car the original brakes and rotors squeak, I really didn't mind bcuz I had plans on changing them, now I installed the aftermarket slot/drilled rotors with new ceramic brake pads, and I still get squeaking from the front brakes, weather it's wet or dry, cold or warm they squeak, does anyone have any suggestions what I can do to stop this?
Did you put back the original shims, use anti squeal grease on Shims, pins, etc.? Those may be the places to start your probe before you switch pads. I don't care what pads you buy, you have bed them in, when you get new pads/rotors, to get that initial material binding with the rotor the right way or you will get noise regardless of whether or not you greased items properly, etc.
My brakes only seem to squeak when I'm traveling at highway speeds and tap them to slow down. I'm not sure if is the driver side front or rear. I've had all brake pads replaced and rotors resurfaced
