wild question: are the oem 2GS rear calipers alum also?
it'd be dope to polish the rears to match.

The rear 2GS calipers are iron. I wouldn't recommend trying to polish them as bare iron rusts very easily.. I remember I ground my rear calipers to clear my wheels and they had surface rust almost instantly.

offset doesnt really have anything to do with brake clearace its mostly spoke design. however on most one piece wheels the lower the offset is usually the more caliper clearance they have. Since the 2GS OEM 17" wheels are 8" wide I personally would not settle for anything skinnier (unless it was for a winter/snow setup). If you want a OEM Lexus 5 spoke style wheel that clears the LS calipers and no spacers I recommend getting the 3GS 18" wheels. You can get a set new (replica) for $500. Or get G35 rims
